2008 Events:     Noosa Mayfiesta - 01 - 31 May In Noosa there is always something worth celebrating, particularly during Noosa's Mayfiesta where you will find a host of sensational events and hot holiday deals.       04 May 08   Noosa Wedding Expo The first weekend in May sees the launch of the innaugural Noosa Wedding Expo, part of the Noosa Mayfiesta program where visitors to Noosa can enjoy a range of fantastic events plus discounts on accommodation, tours and dining experiences. 15 - 18 May 08   Settler’s Cove Celebration of Australian Food and Wine For the fifth year the Settler’s Cove Celebration of Australian food and Wine, Noosa Style will be back from the 15-18th May 2008. During this event Australia's top chefs, winemakers, restaurateurs and general food lovers mingle to learn, taste and explore the best of Australian and local produce. Join a food trail and enjoy the freshest food from the paddock to the plate, partake in a cooking class with a celebrity chef or enjoy the results when guest chefs take over local Noosa restaurants. 16 - 18 May 08   RiverFest RiverFest is in its 12th successful year. RiverFest was initiated by the Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club so club members and the community alike can enjoy the beautiful Noosa River. 17 May 08   Noosa AUSSI Challengers Masters Swim Meet The Noosa AUSSI Challengers Swim Meet is for all registered AUSSI Masters swimmers and will be held on Saturday 17th May 2008. The meet is held in a 50m outdoor heated pool in the excellent council run facility at the Aquatic Centre at Sunshine Beach. Competition includes all strokes and medley in all age groupings from 50m to 200m distance. The day ends with relays and there is always a fun event at the midday break. Prize winners are presented with awards on the day and there is always a wholesome meal provided at the end of the day and all day BBQ located on site. 18 May 08   Noosa Blue Water Swim Now in its fifth season, the Noosa Blue Water Swim is gaining momentum with each passing year and continues to win over swimming enthusiasts looking for a great destination event heading into the more temperate season – and what better place to escape then Noosa. The now famous annual event takes advantage of Noosa’s fabulous climate, sublime lifestyle and relaxed atmosphere.

04 - 13 July 08 The Noosa Longweekend Combine arts and culture with sun and sand at The Noosa Longweekend in one of the world’s most enviable destinations. The Noosa Longweekend is an annual 10-day festival of theatre, dance, music, visual arts, food, film, literature and thought-provoking, barrier-breaking forums that has become recognised as one of Australia’s foremost regional cultural events.       13 July 08 Noosa Enduro Billed as the ‘hard way to see Noosa’ the Noosa Enduro is a 100km or 60km mountain bike adventure race taking in some of Noosa’s prime off-road real estate and takes competitors through stunning trails, tracks, tablelands and three major climbs at Mt Tinbeerwah, Sheppersons Hill and Cooran Tablelands Range that boasts the hill nicknamed ‘Mother’.       27 July 08 King of the Mountain Festival The famous King of the Mountain Festival and Race is Noosa's major hinterland festival held in Pomona on the fourth Sunday of July each year

04-07 September 08 Noosa Jazz Festival Recognised as one of Noosa’s premier events and one of Australia’s most popular Jazz industry gatherings, the Noosa Jazz Festival brings together over 150 Australian and international artists, producing an impressive 4-day Jazz spectacular.   12 - 13 September 08 Noosa Country Show The annual Noosa Country Show is held on the Pomona Showgrounds and is a community run and organised event. It focuses on family fun and education about rural aspects of where we live.   28 September 08 The Noosa Beach Classic Car Show “The Noosa Beach Classic Car Show”, run by the Noosa Beach Classic Car Club recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2007. From its humble beginnings in 1988 when a group of enthusiastic car owners displayed their classic cars, the “Noosa Beach Classic Car Show” has grown to be recognised as one of the most prestigious Classic Car Shows in Australia, is included in most of car club event’s calendars and is featured in many prominent motoring publications.

15 - 16 Nov 08 Historic Noosa “The Hill” (Historic Hill Climb) The “Historic Noosa Hill Climb”, affectionately known as “The Hill”, had its inaugural run in 1998 and has just recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary. “The Hill” is a combined event run by the Noosa Beach Classic Car Club and the Historic Racing Car Club (Qld).
